AS 9100 Revision B Certification

Mon, 29 Jun 2009

Verdant Telemetry & Antenna Systems Pvt. Ltd. is pleased to announce our certification to AS9100 Rev B and ISO 9001:2000 by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). The certification is accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

This certification is the culmination of months of careful planning and preparation at VERDANT, and represents our continuing commitment to superior quality and outstanding customer service.

AS 9100 is a single, common Quality Management System for the whole aerospace industry, satisfying DOD, NASA, and FAA quality requirements. It totally encompasses ISO 9001, combining it with additional requirements designed specifically to address Regulatory Compliance and other aerospace sector specific issues. AS9100 is a widely adopted and standardised quality management system for the aerospace industry. ISO 9001 and AS9100 are internationally developed and recognised standards for Business Management and Quality Assurance, specifically designed to reduce manufacturing defects, foster continuous improvement, and boost overall customer satisfaction.

To be certified as ISO 9001:2000 compliant, Verdant underwent a one-year evaluation process that included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances, all of which work to identify corrective actions that eliminate non-conformance to the quality management standard. The process culminated in a comprehensive three-day registration audit by UL. After correction and closure of all non conformances, Verdant received its AS 9100 Rev B and ISO 9001:2000 certificate of registration on June 29, 2009.

VERDANT’s operational scope is now listed in the OASIS database as "Design, development and manufacture of Airborne Antennas and Radomes". Our entire organisation is committed to delivering top-quality products on time at competitive prices. Our ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications are a powerful testament to the world-class manufacturing environment at VERDANT’s facility in Cochin, INDIA.

"VERDANT" is an industry leader in the design & manufacture of airborne antennas and radomes. The company has been a supplier to the Indian and world aerospace industry for many years and already holds a raft of approvals like the Centre for Military Airworthiness & Certification (CEMILAC) from the Ministry of Defence, India and the Industrial License from Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Govt. of India.
